5 Bed + 5 bath, Renovation Complete!

At Under 1 Roof Co., we take pride in transforming homes into spaces that blend function with style. We’re pleased to share the final progress report on our renovation project at Knatchbull Road. Since our last update, we’ve completed significant tasks, bringing the property to completion. Here’s a breakdown of the work done following our initial electrical and plastering updates.

Plumbing: Creating Comfort and Functionality

Our plumbing team made excellent progress, completing the second fix in the en suites for bedrooms 1, 2, and 3, ensuring the bathrooms were fully equipped and ready for use. We also installed the plant room, which houses the essential systems that keep the house running smoothly. On the ground floor, we installed underfloor heating, and completed the first fix for the kitchen, guest WC, and utility room. The final plumbing touch was the installation of radiators, ensuring the home is warm and comfortable.

Electrical: Completing the Wiring Framework

Following the initial electrical setup, we moved on to the first and second fix across all floors. We completed wiring for the kitchen, plant room, and installed a new fuse board. Connectivity was boosted with TV points and a CAT hub for strong, reliable internet access. In the second fix, all remaining switches, sockets, and lighting were installed, providing full functionality and a polished finish throughout the home.

Plastering: Preparing for the Final Touch

With the electrical work complete, our plastering team returned to finalize plastering throughout the ground floor and study. This final layer provided the smooth and clean surfaces necessary for the decorating phase, ensuring the walls are perfectly prepared for the next steps in interior design.

Structural Work: Strength and Stability

Structural work was a critical part of this project, ensuring the home’s foundation and support were robust. After measuring and installing steel beams, we secured building control approval, confirming the structural integrity. We poured concrete to encase the steel and allowed it to dry, before proceeding with floor insulation, underfloor heating, and a final layer of screed.

Tiling: Aesthetic and Practical Flooring

Tiling added the finishing touch to several key areas. The first-floor bedrooms were completed with tiled finishes early on. On the ground floor, we laid tiles in the hallway, utility room, guest WC, kitchen, and living areas. These high-quality finishes offer both practicality and style, enhancing the overall design of the home.

Carpentry: Fine Details to Complete the Look

Our skilled carpenters worked across several areas of the home, reconditioning windows, installing doors, architraves, and fitting skirting. They also installed laminate flooring on the first and second floors, ensuring each room had a cohesive, polished finish. In addition, we installed custom kitchen units and patio doors, creating a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor living.

This completes the work at Knatchbull Road. From laying the groundwork to finishing each detail, we’ve ensured that every step of this renovation meets our high standards.
